At Home in the Yard
This collection is a nostalgic throwback to afternoons filled with laughter, candy that colored your tongue red and memories of sugary treats and savory drinks.
These are the days when you remained in the yard and did not sneak off with the neighbors down to the river, or to the mango walk to eat your belly full, or go to the sugarcane fields for some romping.
"At Home in the Yard" captures the little joys that linger in our memories such as grandma's potato puddings, iced cold lemonade on a hot Caribbean day, sharing sweet treats with your siblings, or playing Jacks and marbles with the neighbors, through iconic food ingredients and stunning art prints.

The Original Coconut Water
Charcoal Art - In the Yard - Cutting a Coconut
The coconut tree is like family so when the sun is blazing at 90 degrees, and the air is hot and humid, this is the drink to cool you down and "wash your heart". You hear the chop, chop, chop of the neighbor's machete and you gladly to step outside to hail up Irie Ras and beg him two of the jellies that he just picked. This art piece depicts the act of chopping the coconut and the joy that it brings to the drinker.

Red Bean Saturday Soup
By midday, after grandma has finished roasting the breadfruits, the big soup pot goes on the coal stove. Red kidney beans (or red peas), fresh beef, salted pig tail, coconut milk, yam, thyme, and pepper start bubbling, and the fragrance slowly fills the yard.
When it is done, everyone gathers for their steaming bowl and grandma warns that they are to let it cool so as not to burn their tongues. The kids come back for more and grandma gives you the approving look because you've learnt the recipe well.
This collection brings together the flavors and the memories that make the Saturday soup more than a meal but a tradition of bonding through every spoonful.

Real Trini Pelau
Pelau does pull people like a good lime. You start with the browning the chicken nice and dark, the peas soaking up all the flavour, rice bubbling in coconut milk, pimento, thyme, and just enough pepper to make yuh sweat a lil. Somebody always shows up with coleslaw last-minute, and next thing you know, is music playing, drinks flowing, and laughter bussin’ out.
Is not just food—it’s vibes in a pot. Real Trini joy, one spoonful at a time. Oh gosh!

A Quiet Afternoon in Bloom
The baby is down for a nap and the yard is quiet because school is in session. A soft breeze comes through the louvered windows, carrying the scent of apples, rose, sweet sop/sugar apple and island air. She lights a candle that reminds her of the lime trees and mandarin when they are in bloom. She will save the rose scent for the night. A cold glass of fruit punch sits on the table beside her. This is her moment, a time to pause, breathe, take a quick nap before resuming her chores for the day as she enjoys a sweet, vibrant gentle of Caribbean afternoons.
